Indigenous & First Nations Studies: Background Information

This page is especially for someone who is new to learning about Indigenous Studies. Here is some information to help get you started. Please keep in mind that libraries are quite good at collecting books, articles, videos, and websites - but there is so much Indigenous knowledge that simply cannot be found in a library! Also, we recognize that there is not one single Indigenous culture, but rather a diverse group of peoples with different traditions, languages, protocols, histories, etc. Please remember this rich diversity as you are learning.
