GoPro at the Library: Borrowing the GoPro

This guide is intended to provide VCC students and employees with information about borrowing and using GoPro.

Charge the GoPro by connecting it to a USB port on your computer using the USB cable. You can also charge two batteries at a time using the provided USB cable and charger.

Borrowing

GoPro cameraHow can I borrow one? 

VCC students and employees can borrow a GoPro at the Public Service Desk of the Broadway campus and Downtown campus libraries. Check for availability. 

Bring your library card or a picture ID. Limit one GoPro per student.

Can I reserve one? 

No. GoPro are first-come first-served. 

How long can I keep it? 

The loan period is 7 days, no renewals. You must wait one day before borrowing again. 

Fines 

  • Late fines are $5 a day, up to $20 (as per existing policy); we start charging 2 hours after the GoPro is overdue. 
  • Overdue emails will be sent every day until the GoPro is returned. 
  • For unreturned or damaged items, users will be charged the cost of replacing the GoPro. 
  • Billing will take place 1 week after the due date.    

Returning the GoPro

Return the GoPro and all accessories to the Public Service Desk where it was checked out.  

Do not put the GoPro in the book return bins. 

Return the GoPro in the same condition in which it was checked out.  All content on the GoPro will be erased after it is returned.  The library is not responsible for any files left on the GoPro after it is returned.
