Welcome and Blessing from Elder John - June 21 at 9am
Please join us online at 9am to be greeted by Elder John, a VCC Elder-in-Residence, as we begin Indigenous Day at VCC. Elder John Sam is from the Tutshone, Tlingit and Dene First Nations and has been an artist and wood carver since 1991. He also enjoys participating in ceremony and sharing knowledge by offering workshops. VCC Library is honoured to be hosting Elder John as he welcomes us, offers a blessing, and leads us into the start of Indigenous Peoples Day.
