Destination Vancouver is a destination marketing organization and business association representing approximately 1,000 members in tourism and related industries/activities.
The Tourism Industry Association of BC (TIABC) advocates for the interests of British Columbia’s $14 billion+ visitor economy. As a not-for-profit trade association, TIABC works collaboratively with its members – private sector tourism businesses, industry associations and destination marketing organizations – to ensure the best working environment for a competitive tourism industry.
The Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC) focuses on creating partnerships between associations, organizations, government departments and industry leaders from across Canada to support the growth of Indigenous tourism in Canada and address the demand for development and marketing of authentic Indigenous experiences.
TAMS examines recreational activities and travel habits of Canadians and Americans and gives detailed information on activities, travel motivators, places visited, type of accommodation used, etc. There are some specific to BC.
TIAC is responsible for representing tourism interests at the national level, and its advocacy work involves promoting and supporting policies, programs and activities.
