COPYRIGHT: Gen AI

The guide provides information to faculty and students on Canadian copyright and how it pertains to instruction and learning at the College.

Can I upload library e-resources (e.g. journal articles or e-books) to Generative AI tools (e.g. CoPilot or Chat GPT)?

In most cases, this is not permitted due to licensing contracts with our vendors and publishers which restrict this use. Most agreements do not allow for the uploading of copyright protected works to third-party platforms, including genAI tools.
